Bring in 2018 with much fanfare and get 'wowed' as Ras Al Khaimah eyes Guinness world record with NYE fireworks.


Guinness World Record

The 2018 Ras Al Khaimah New Year’s Eve Fireworks by Al Marjan Island, one of the largest fireworks in the UAE, will be attempting the Guinness World Records for the “largest aerial firework shell”.


Fireworks from 120 sites

One of the most-awaited fireworks displays in the UAE is set to be a global attraction with resplendent colours to illuminate the night sky over the waterfront development with fireworks from 120 sites, creating a spectacular canopy never seen before.


Time

31st December, 2017 at 8:00 PM to 3:00 AM (Fireworks start from midnight to 12:10 AM)


The Team

A team of 30 engineers, pyrotechnicians, fabricators and others are working on the project led by Phil Grucci, creative director of Fireworks by Grucci


Parking

Ras Al Khaimah Public Works to create two new public view areas and more than 5,000 additional public car parking spaces around Al Marjan Island to welcome the visitors.Visitors can reach the site before 8pm to secure comfortable public viewing areas, which will be located in and around Al Marjan Island. Access to the viewing decks and to the main entrance of Al Marjan Island will be closed at 10pm. Parking is FREE and available on first come first serve basis.

Available from Doubletree by Hilton Marjan Island and Marjan Resort & Spa (Accor) as well as Hilton Al Hamra / Al Hamra Residence and Village and Waldorf Astoria Hotel (based on first come first serve)

Bring Your Tent. AED 50 per space. Preregistration required with ticket booking. (Limited space available)


Music Arrangements

Kicking off at 8pm and taking you all the way through to 3am, this White Party on the beach will be an unforgettable night. Headlining the event is legendary house DJ Yves Larock, and there will be more top DJs and plenty of surprises to make for a magical occasion.

DJ Yves Larock: Headliner Yves Larock kicks off the brand new year with a banging set. The Swiss DJ is best known for his summer anthem Rise Up, which was a global smash hit when it was released in 2007. Larock's infectious dancehall-infused sound is sure to get the whole beach jumping into 2018


DJ Hollaphonic: UAE-based dance duo Hollaphonic are popular for their feel-good sets and iTunes chart-topping hits like I Don't Want It To End. Between the two of them, Greg Stainer and Olly Wood are used to entertaining crowds of tens of thousands, and have earned a loyal fan following.


Food trucks

A host of food trucks will keep you fueled for a night of dancing into the early hours.
