Did you notice thousands of UAE flags (8000 to be precise) being hoisted on Ras Al Khaimah roads lately?
All roads and squares leading to Azan are decorated with flags as mass wedding of 174 couple was being held on Tuesday 13th March, 2018 at Al Bayt Mutawahid. The wedding ceremony was held in one of the biggest ballrooms of the country.
Most importantly, crown prince of Ras Al Khaimah Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi himself is among the 174 grooms being tied in wedding knot.
The mass wedding is part of the UAE culture that shows solidarity and interaction among all members of the society.
The department of public works, all set for the mass wedding, has built 3,500 parking spaces adjacent to the ballroom at Azan area.
The department has decorated all the surroundings of the wedding ballroom, and planted 20,000 square meters with palms trees, colourful flowers, and green grass.
The department has also built six helicopter landing zones for receiving 12 choppers on an area of 9,000 square meters using 14,000 square meters of interlock.

The massive wedding, one of the most important community initiatives nationwide, is aimed to support youth, ease their financial burden, and help them lead a stable and debt-free marital life.
